Frequently Asked Questions:
Can I purchase one using a FSA account?
We recommend checking with your FSA plan administrator.
Does this help with shoulder impingement?
Shoulder flex may help relieve symptoms of shoulder impingement, depending upon where the impingement originates. Shoulder Flex can be used in a variety of different shoulder positions, and leverage may be applied throughout. Because of the assisted nature of the device, the user is able to specifically target certain ROMs, and focus tension there. We highly recommend speaking with your doctor before use to find out if Shoulder Flex will benefit you.
Is this beneficial for post surgery therapy?
Shoulder Flex allows the user to have complete control of creating muscle tension to improve flexibility. Particularly, internal and external rotation. The leverage design of Shoulder Flex allows the user to subtly apply a stretch. This control creates a safe and gradual improvement of range of motion and muscle flexibility. We highly advise you to speak with your doctor before using Shoulder Flex.
Can you stretch arm in a passive state with Shoulder Flex?
Yes. You can use Shoulder Flex in a passive position. The arm being stretched does not need to actively grip the handle. It may be adjusted so that the affected arm is in a passive state.
What is the device made of?
Shoulder Flex is constructed from durable aluminum alloy, which is a light, strong, and reliable material. Also, is important to note that minimal effort is required from the arm providing the assistance stretch to create a significant leverage advantage.
